About Our Rocks

We gather our sparking flint rocks in the mountains of North Alabama. Usually found in creek and river beds and alongside mountain cliffs. Our rocks vary in color including jet black, charcoal gray, brown, light grey and sometimes light blue. They are excellent fire-starting rocks and we only ship flint rocks that are large enough to easlily hold while striking. Enjoy!

Check out our NEW Char Cloth! Heated and carbonized perfectly to catch even the smallest spark and create a super-hot glowing ember that will start any fire quickly.

Also in ... Hand Forged Steel Viking Flint Strikers! Made from high carbon steel and hand-forged by an Alabama local blacksmith. Used to strike swiftly against our quality flint to produce a shower of sparks for igniting char cloth and other tinder quickly.
